You need to be online to talk - the app has to communicate with servers in order to be clever - but even slow connections are fine.

Update to 2.0, April 13th 2013: This app has been wholly redeveloped for this release due to problems in the past with some recent devices and Android versions. Hopefully these problems will now be greatly reduced or gone entirely. Further updates will be possible much more quickly. Thank you for your patience, and please do give feedback!
